Hello, my name is Gary Salmen and welcome to Right Angle Survey. For over 30 years, Right Angle surveyors have partnered with architects, contractors, and homeowners, to provide surveying services that are accurate and follow industry ethical guidelines.
In my career, I’ve held virtually every position in the survey industry and have completed hundreds of land surveys. We provide commercial and residential surveys–virtually any kind of land survey. 1980 – Awarded Land Surveyor license by State Board of Registration (BPELS) after completing 6-year training and passing the state-wide examination.
1981 – Relocated from South Bay with family.
1982 – Project Surveyor with Penfield & Smith Engineers and Surveyors.
1984 – Project Surveyor with Lewis & Lewis, Inc.
1990 – Founded G.P. Salmen & Associates, Land Surveying.
1993 – Wrote curriculum and served as first instructor of Boundary Surveying for California Land Surveyor’s Association
(CLSA) examinee review seminars.
2006 – With Richard Moore of BPELS, founded Joint Professional Practices Committee (JPPC) of CLSA and
ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies). At this time, we are working with public agencies to ensure the preservation of survey monuments during construction activities.
